Abbey Brass

Abbey Brass is the newest brass band on the Isle of Wight. Formed in 2021, the band gives a regular series of concerts across the island. To keep up to date with our activities then head over to our News section to find out more.

World premiere for Abbey

Abbey Brass will be giving the premiere of ISLAND LIFE by composer-in-residence Mary Lillington at a concert at Trinity Theatre, Cowes on Saturday 28th September. The concert is FREE, but see the Engagements list for more information.

Early September Concert

Abbey Brass will be giving a concert at St. Mary's Church, Brading on Saturday 7th September. The concert is FREE, although there is a retiring collection. See the Engagements list for more information.

A trio of CD releases

MD Phillip Littlemore sees his arrangements of music by Gustav Holst, Arthur Bliss and Malcolm Arnold make Summer releases by Tredegar, Fodens and Black Dyke.

Meet The Band

Abbey Brass players travel across the island to rehearse at the band's base in Binstead, Ryde on Wednesday evenings. 

The band is made up of people from all walks of life including those in the medical profession, care workers, teachers, administrators, structural engineers, transport operatives and one or two retirees.
